Are you an admin setting up Parker for your team? Start with the Admin quickstart. Your team can’t connect their Salesforce logins until you’ve connected your company’s Salesforce.
Before you begin
- You have a Parker account in your workspace.
- Your admin has connected your company’s Salesforce to Parker.
- You know your Salesforce login, and you have a Microsoft 365 (Outlook) or Gmail mailbox.
What you connect, and what your admin connects
Set up and try Parker
1
Sign in
Sign in to Parker. Parker opens on a new chat that asks What can I help with, followed by your first name.If you belong to more than one workspace, check which one you’re in. Its name shows under your name in the sidebar.
2
Open Connections
In the sidebar, select Settings (the gear button next to your name), and then select Settings. You can also press ⌘, on a Mac or Ctrl+, on Windows. In Settings, select Connections.
3
Connect your Salesforce login
Select the Salesforce row and connect your Salesforce account. Salesforce opens. Sign in with your own Salesforce login and allow access. When you’re connected, the Salesforce account row reads Connected as, followed by your Salesforce username.
4
Connect your mailbox and calendar
Select Connections to go back. Then connect the mailbox you use for work:
- If you use Outlook or Microsoft 365, select the Microsoft 365 row. Microsoft grants calendar and mailbox access separately, so connect Mail and then select Connect Calendar.
- If you use Gmail, select the Microsoft 365 row, and then select Connect Gmail under Mailboxes. For Google Calendar, go back to Connections, select Browse, and select the Google Calendar row.
5
Check your Agent mode
Select Connections, and then the Salesforce row. Under How Parker works in Salesforce, look at Agent mode:
- Test: Parker only simulates Salesforce changes.
- Live: Parker writes changes to Salesforce as you. Updates to existing records go through straight away, without a confirmation card.
6
Ask your first questions
Close Settings. In the chat box, ask about your own work. Parker answers from your live Salesforce data and your mailbox.Ask a follow-up in the same chat, such as “now only the ones over $50,000”.

- In Settings > Connections, the Connected tab lists Salesforce and your mailbox. Microsoft 365 reads Partly connected until you connect both mail and calendar.
- Parker’s answers name your own records and show numbered source markers you can select to see where a figure came from.
Troubleshooting
Parker says it can't find a record I know exists
Parker says it can't find a record I know exists
Parker sees only what your own Salesforce login can see. If you can’t open the record in Salesforce, Parker can’t either. Ask your Salesforce admin about your access.
Parker made a change, but it isn't in Salesforce
