# Frequently asked questions

> Get short, direct answers to common questions about Parker: what it is, what it connects to, how it handles Salesforce changes, and where to get help.

## What is Parker?

Parker is an AI sales assistant that works on top of your Salesforce and your mailbox. You ask in plain language, and Parker answers from your live data. It can also draft emails, build tables and charts, and create or update Salesforce records for you. See [What is Parker?](/introduction).

## Does Parker change Salesforce without asking?

It depends on the change:

* **Creating a record:** Parker shows a card with **Confirm** and **Reject**. Nothing is written until you select **Confirm**.
* **Updating fields on an existing record:** there's no card. In **Live** mode, Parker makes the change as soon as you ask, then shows **Updated by you; confirmed in Salesforce.**

Your **Agent mode** decides whether changes are real. In **Test** mode, they're only simulated. See [How Parker acts on your behalf](/get-started/how-parker-acts).

## Does Parker send email without asking?

No, not from chat. Parker shows a draft card, and nothing is sent until you choose a send option. Automations put replies in your Drafts folder or tell you about emails, depending on how you set them up. For replies Parker writes as itself, an admin sets the **Send mode** in [Autonomy](/admin/autonomy). See [Draft and send email](/email/drafting-email) and [Automations](/automate/automations).

## Which email providers work with Parker?

Microsoft 365 (Outlook) and Gmail. Each person connects their own mailbox from **Settings** > **Connections**. See [Connect your mailbox](/email/connect-mailbox).

## Which calendars work with Parker?

Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook. Each person connects their own calendar from **Settings** > **Connections**. See [Calendar and meetings](/email/calendar-and-meetings).

## Can I use Parker from my phone?

Yes, through channels <Badge>Beta</Badge>: Messages, WhatsApp, or Microsoft Teams. You link your phone in **Settings** > **Channels**. See [Parker on your phone](/mobile/overview).

## Can Parker see Salesforce records I can't?

No. Parker works under your own Salesforce permissions, so field-level security and sharing rules apply to everything it does for you. See [Permissions](/reference/permissions).

## Does Parker remember what I tell it?

Yes. Parker remembers lessons and preferences from your chats. You can review, edit, or remove them in **Settings** > **Memories**. See [How memory works](/chat/memory-and-private-chats).

## Who can change Parker's settings?

You can change your own settings, such as **General** and **Writing style**. Some pages are for admins only, such as **Compliance** and **Reply notes**, which carry an **Admin** label. See [Permissions](/reference/permissions).

## Can Parker get things wrong?

Yes. Every chat says **Parker AI can make mistakes. Check responses.** Answers can also differ between two runs of the same question, because Parker reads your live data each time. Select **Sources** in the chat to check where each figure came from. See [Chat overview](/chat/overview).

## How do I get help?

Start with this guide, or go to [Troubleshooting](/reference/troubleshooting) for common problems. If a setting is admin-only, ask your Parker admin. For anything else, contact Parker support.

To tell Parker how an answer went, select **Good response** or **Bad response** under it.
