# Search, draft, and send email

> Ask Parker to find your email, then draft new emails and replies you can edit, save to your Drafts folder, or send from your own address.

Ask Parker to find email and write emails and replies. Every draft appears as an editable card in chat, and nothing is sent until you choose a send option.

## Before you begin

* To search your mail, save drafts, or send from your address, [connect your mailbox](/email/connect-mailbox) first.
* For drafts that sound like you, set up your [writing style](/email/writing-style).

## Find email

Ask in plain words. Parker searches your connected mailbox and shows what it found, for example as a table of sender, subject, and date.

<Prompt description="List your latest mail">Show me the three most recent emails in my inbox. Just list sender, subject and date.</Prompt>

## Draft an email or reply

<Warning>
  **Check before Parker changes Salesforce.**

  * **Creating** a record shows a card with **Confirm** and **Reject**. Nothing is written until you select **Confirm**.
  * **Updating** an existing record has no card. If you've told Parker exactly what to change, it makes the change straight away in **Live** mode.

  See [How Parker acts on your behalf](/get-started/how-parker-acts).
</Warning>

<Steps>
  <Step title="Ask for the email">
    Say who it's for and what it should say. For a reply, name the email you're answering.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review the draft card">
    Parker shows the draft in a card with **To**, **From**, **Subject**, and the message. You can edit the subject and message in the card.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Revise if needed">
    Select **Shorter**, **Warmer**, or **Formal** to have Parker rewrite the draft. Each rewrite is a new version, such as **v2 of 2**. Use the arrows to move between versions.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose what happens next">
    Save it, send it, or open it in your mail app. See [What can I do with a draft?](#what-can-i-do-with-a-draft)

## Draft emails for a group of leads

Parker can draft a personal email for each lead in a list. Nothing is sent. You review the drafts one at a time.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Ask for the drafts">
    Say which leads and what every email should do. Parker reads the leads from Salesforce and drafts for each one.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Check the summary">
    A strip shows how many leads were in the list, how many got a draft, and how many were excluded, with a reason for each.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review each draft">
    Each lead can have more than one version, such as **Soft check-in** and **Push forward**. Select a version to see it. Use the arrows to move between leads. The card counts how many you've sent and skipped.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Frame caption="A queue of lead drafts. Leads Parker left out are listed with a reason.">
  <img src="https://mintcdn.com/fieldko/mD6jO4lPpuH-Mxq8/images/email/drafting-email-lead-queue.png?fit=max&auto=format&n=mD6jO4lPpuH-Mxq8&q=85&s=a687ce57988bcd8ca5c33280848cf220" alt="Lead draft queue showing Cohort 3, Drafting 1, Excluded 2 with reasons, two draft versions, and a compliance result of 5 of 7 passed." width="1754" height="1350" data-path="images/email/drafting-email-lead-queue.png" />
</Frame>

<Prompt description="Draft an email for each lead">Draft a short intro email to each of my 3 most recently created open leads. Don't send anything.</Prompt>

If the compliance check flags a lead draft, the card reads "Compliance flagged issues — revise the draft first." and the send buttons are unavailable. Select the compliance result, such as **5 of 7 passed**, to see each rule.
