# Keyboard shortcuts

> Look up the keyboard shortcuts for search, new chats, Settings, the chat box, slash commands, and search results in Parker.

Use these shortcuts in the Parker web app. On a Mac, use **⌘** (Command). On Windows, use **Ctrl**.

## Anywhere in Parker

| Action | Mac | Windows |

| Open search and commands | **⌘K** | **Ctrl+K** |
| Start a new chat | **⌘⇧O** | **Ctrl+Shift+O** |
| Open Settings | **⌘,** | **Ctrl+,** |

## In a chat

| Action | Mac | Windows |

| Send your message | **Enter** | **Enter** |
| Start a new line | **Shift+Enter** | **Shift+Enter** |
| Search the messages in this chat | **⌘F** | **Ctrl+F** |
| Ask about text you selected in Parker's answer | **Q** | **Q** |

In a chat, **⌘F** or **Ctrl+F** opens **Search messages** for the conversation instead of the browser's own search.

## Slash commands in the chat box

Type **/** in the chat box to open the list of commands.

| Move through the commands | **↑** and **↓** |
| Run the selected command | **Enter** |
| Complete the selected command | **Tab** |
| Close the list | **Esc** |

## In search and commands

After you press **⌘K** or **Ctrl+K**:

| Show the matching messages in a chat | **→** | **→** |
| Open the selected result | **Enter** | **Enter** |
| Ask Parker what you typed | **⌘Enter** | **Ctrl+Enter** |
| Switch between chats and pages | **Tab** | **Tab** |
| Close search | **Esc** | **Esc** |

## In a chart
